About Rosemary

Second River Studio is tucked at the edge of the woods in Northern
Virginia. It provides me with an ideal light filled space in which to create
collage, paintings and sculpture.
I named my studio for the river of creativity that runs beneath the
overt river of our lives. This second river is a world between worlds, arrived
at through intentional solitude and creative activity.
The river is both a nourishing psychological place and a source of
energy that also enlivens those who experience what the artist has created.
It is a wild life-giving river, mysterious, and not subject to
logic as it rises, ebbs, spirals, surges, cuts through stone and spills into
the soul as a refreshing waterfall.
